A little down and out ... just a little

I have fallen completely off the wagon with spending over the last few days, back into old habits. I could really use some words of encouragement, if you have them.

I will be driving back to horse country tonight to do more student teaching, but I will try and check in a bit over the coming week. I have a lot of work to get done, though. :-( been procrastinating way too much.

I think this tends to happen when I get out of my element -- the natural, calm rhythms that define my days. I am truly turning into a nesting woman of the home. Hm. I'm beginning to not be a fan of these short stretches broken up by travel.

All the same, I'm contemplating a restful trip to Montana in May.

Please, please leave some words of encouragement for me today.

  1. The first thing to do is forgive yourself, the second thing is to find what your triggers for spending are (which you seem to already know!). So you see you're already in a great place :0)

I really think life is 2 steps forward, 1 back, eventually little by little we are further along!

  2. I don't blame you, I think you just are craving / needing a stable lifestyle where you can reliably go home, cook food, enjoy loved ones in the winter cosiness, and time out with friends. you couldn't help but spend money being out of your element and well, having fun when you did get back to town, with those you love! i love you and i wish for a reliable sense of "what my life" / current goings-on really mean. I think as soon as you get back to your everyday life on a more regular basis, the homework will get done! enjoy your honeymoon period & time of intense connection with him for all it's worth! i love you!!

  3. I avoid carrying cash on me or else I'll spend it! So hide your cash. Or your visa/debit card, if those do the same thing. YOU CAN AVOID SPENDING MONEYS!!!
